A proud native of Burnsville, North Carolina, Lilly’s deep roots in Yancey County span multiple generations, with her parents and grandparents still residing in the community. This enduring family connection has fostered a lifelong commitment to serving and strengthening her hometown. As Vice Treasurer of Mountain Strong, Lilly leverages her extensive experience in financial analysis, leadership, and strategic planning to support the organization’s mission of rebuilding and empowering the community.

Lilly holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. Her professional journey includes key roles in treasury finance at Bank of America and expense management and forecasting at Blackbaud, a leading software provider for nonprofits. These experiences have equipped her with strong expertise in cost allocation, financial forecasting, and organizational leadership - skills that have been essential in guiding Mountain Strong’s financial strategies and ensuring effective resource allocation for maximum community impact.

Beyond her professional work, Lilly is dedicated to her family, raising her two children, Emerson and Henry, alongside her husband, Bobby. Her passion for the mountains and the community that shaped her continues to inspire her both personally and professionally, fueling her commitment to making a positive impact and nurturing the next generation.
